At Mascari Warner Architects, we understand that for a business to truly be innovative and responsive to the clients’ needs, there must be a shift from simply producing a service to creating an environment, evoking a feeling, and inspiring those who interact with it. From healthcare to commercial, offices to residential, we beautifully combine function with form from the inside out.

Palomar Medical Center West – LTACH and IRF

Overview

Currently, Mascari Warner Dinh Architects is in the Schematic Design Phase for a new 107,000 square foot, 90 bed, 3 story building LTACH/IRF on the campus of Palomar Health.  One of the focuses of the project is to stay on the cutting edge of design by incorporating as many of the guiding principles of evidence based design.

Extensive research has been done following published information from the Center for Health Design, The Joint Commission, and The Healthcare Advisory Board to put forth the very best of the best. The take-aways from other projects are informing our decisions for creating healing environments, building in future flexibilities and optimizing circulation for both patients and staff.

The project delivery method is design build.  Several earlier programming meetings with the Joint Venture partners is setting the stage for a truly collaborative process.  Collectively the team has been exchanging ideas to evoke hope into the design with a goal that the architecture can speak to the patients that face a longer rehabilitation.
